Meet Our Team!

		Jeff Perkins President Email Jeff serves as the President of Mid-South Lumber and Supply. His building supply experience began in 1991 after approximately eight years in the professional service industry as a certified public accountant. Jeff has been active in the industry serving as President of the Kentucky Building Material Association in 2002 and as a director and finance committee member of the Independent Builders Supply Association for the past several years. He also serves as the CEO of various affiliated companies of Mid-South Lumber and Supply. Jeff is a Western Kentucky University graduate with his degree in accounting.
		Vanessa Jo Walker CFO Email In 1992, Jo began working with Mid-South Lumber while attending Western Kentucky University. Starting as an Accounts Receivable Clerk, Jo worked her way up through the ranks of the accounting department after graduating in 1994. While moving from Accounts Payable to Credit Management and Controller, in addition to the accounting responsibilities for the lumber company, Jo was charged with implementation and training for all areas of the computer system. In 2001, Jo became the Chief Financial Officer for JVC Enterprise Inc, the management company for Mid-South Lumber. Jo now oversees the financial and IT operations not only for Mid-South Lumber but also for its affiliated companies.
		Richard Minton General Manager Email Richard Minton has been involved in the construction and building supply business virtually all of his life. His father and grandfather were both builders, and Richard started in the lumber business in 1972 (he likes to tell everyone he started when he was 10). Richard has been with Mid-South since 1992. From loading trucks to spearheading the opening of new locations, Richard has literally been involved in all aspects of the business. Along with his extensive commitment to the industry, Richard proudly served his state and country in the National Guard.
		Jerry Weedman Leitchfield Manager Email Jerry joined our sales force in 1995 as an outside salesman, and within a few years was promoted to store manager at our Leitchfield location. Prior to coming to Mid-South, Jerry was a general contractor in the Leitchfield market for over 22 years. This experience has been invaluable providing better insight for serving our professional customers as well as our retail trade.
		Sam Burns Paint Manager Email Sam has been assisting customers with their paint and decorating solutions since 1993. He joined Mid-South Lumber in 2003, and has been sharing his experience and expertise, growing the business ever since. Sam was instrumental in helping to secure our Benjamin Moore product line and becoming the first Benjamin Moore Signature store in Kentucky. Whether you’re painting a single room or an entire school, Sam has the experience and expertise you can trust.
		Andy Purcell Inside Sales Email Andy is one of our newest team members, but definitely not new to the industry. He has over seventeen years experience specializing in inside and outside sales, purchasing, project management and sales support. Andy’s father was a builder in the Bowling Green market for many years so you can say Andy’s been in or around this business all of his life. Prior to committing to the industry, Andy proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.
		Ronnie Kiper Purchasing Manager Email Ronnie Kiper has been with our company since 1986 dating back to the original Leitchfield Lumber Company days. Ronnie proved himself extremely versatile and has worn many hats over the years. He brings extensive product knowledge and retail experience to Mid-South Lumber. Ronnie currently purchases building products as well as paint and related supplies for both locations as well as serving in an inside sales capacity.
		Reed Young Outside Sales Email Reed became part of our Mid-South Lumber team in 1993 and currently serves in outside sales for our Leitchfield location. He has had a tremendous amount of experience serving over 32 years in this industry. Reed has developed strong relationships with our customers and contractors and truly appreciates the loyalty and trust exhibited over the years.
		Billy Sanders Operations Manager Email Billy joined Mid-South in 2004. He has had a significant amount of hands-on experience, working several different positions within the company over the years. Billy has also proven himself to be very versatile and currently serves as our Operations Manager at our Bowling Green location. I know many of you have had the opportunity to meet Billy in one of his capacities over the past several years and can appreciate his attitude as best described by his favorite saying, “Everyday’s a Holiday”.
		Sharon Cook Office Manager Email Sharon Cook has been part of the Mid-South team since 1999. As Office Manager, she is responsible for the daily accounting and financial functions at Mid-South Lumber. She has had an extensive amount of experience working in the accounting and customer relations field since 1981.
		Chuck Chandler Outside Sales Email Chuck joined Mid-South as an inside salesman in 1993, moving to outside sales soon thereafter. Chuck, a Bowling Green native, has extensive product knowledge and experience in the industry. He has developed strong relationships with our customers and contractors and built a reputation of trust and integrity.
		Dan Wells Outside Sales Email Dan is our newest member of our outside sales force, but not new to the industry. Prior to joining Mid-South Lumber as an inside salesperson in 2011, Dan had over 25 years experience within the industry from equipment sales/leasing to general contracting. This experience has been invaluable providing better insight for serving our professional customers as well as our retail trade.
